SPOT LITERARY MAGAZINE is a biannual journal published by Spot Write Literary Corporation, a California public benefit corporation with federal tax-exempt status pending. Address subscription and administrative correspondence to Spot Write Literary Corporation, 4729 E, Sunrise Dr., Box 254, Tucson, AZ 85718-4535. Sustaining subscriptions are $25 US per year, which includes mailing costs, or $12.50 per issue or back issue, or $10 in person. Checks are payable to “Spot Write Literary Corporation.”
SLM accepts submissions via email only, from August 1 through October 1 for fall issues, and from January 1 through March 1 for spring issues. Texts must be sent as Microsoft Word files, in simple TIMES CE (or in Times New Roman if you do not have TIMES CE) font. Send black and white photos and artwork in grayscale JPEG file format.

The first ‘07 issue of SLM (1.1), the inaugural issue, features work by Suzanne Allen, Brendan Constantine, Elizabeth Fenimore, Grim, Susan Hansell, Chris Jara, Jennifer Lester, Lori Lubeski, Rachel Maize, Bill Mohr, Joshua Peralta, Connie Pham, Jonathan Rapp, Mallory Reeves, Neal Storrs, and Gerald Uyeno.
The second ‘07 SLM issue (1.2), the All-Holiday-Themed Review, features work by Suzanne Allen, Tobi Cogswell, Brendan Constantine, Steve De France, Lainee Frizzo, Elizabeth Fenimore, Mark Gurarie, Natalie Hurter, Susan Hansell, Elizabeth Iannaci, Lori Lubeski, Jennifer Lester, Julianna McCarthy, Bill Mohr, Greggory Moore, Joshua Peralta, Connie Pham, John G. Rodwan Jr., Jonathan Rapp, Neal Storrs, Gerald Uyeno, and Robert L. Wells.
The current SLM Spring (2.1) 2008 (non-themed) features work by Jeffrey Alfier, Suzanne Allen, David Barnes, Tobi Cogswell, Steve De France, Elizabeth Fenimore, Mark Gurarie, Susan Hansell, David E. Howerton, Elizabeth Iannaci, Michelle Lauren Kay, Matthew Karver, Hari Bhajan Khalsa, Curtis Last, Jennifer Lester, Greggory Moore, Christopher Mulrooney, Jonathan Rapp, John G. Rodwan, Jr., Neal Storrs, Gerald Uyeno, and Robert L. Wells. Internet publication of these works (though not as perfectly representative or as fully realized as in the hardcopy) can be viewed via www.spotlitmagazine.net.
The Fall 2008 (2.2) issue will be themed. The theme for the upcoming issue is: The world/”the” world/a world/your world. Works that create their own world or which respond to the world as we/you/someone/anyone “knows” or experiences it, (or not), etc. are eligible for consideration beginning August 1, 2008. Published authors and artists receive one free hard-copy of SPOTLIT, limited internet publication (with the subsequent issue’s publication as the take-down time of each issue’s publication), and a sponsored reading for contributors local to the SoCal or the Southwest U.S. region/s.
